Times and pinney numbers will be available on Thursday 07/18. You can continue to check startboxscoring.com for Times. This will be the official source.

PARKING AND ARRIVAL:

  • Parking will be in the same area as last year. Go past the main HPF entrance on the Left.  In a short distance, there will be an open gate on the left and we will park in the corner of the field.  We will try to optimize on whatever shade is available.

  • Arrival time is no earlier than 6AM.  If you arrive before 6AM, you will need to wait to pull in.  Laurie's horses must be removed from the field before we can park.

SCHEDULE:

6:00 AM - Arrival

6:30 AM - Rally Briefing, followed by Chaperones/Coaches/Volunteers Meeting

??? AM   - First Formal Inspection  NOTE:  There will be no schedule for Formal Inspection. Suggest an hour before dressage time, but not mandatory, especially if a younger competitors.  Allow enough time for your FI and dressage warmup.

??? AM -   First Ride

HEAT:

The current forecast is for 95 degrees, partly cloudy, and 63% humidity. We must be VERY VERY careful about heat illnesses for competitors and horses.

  • Coats and neck wear (stock ties) will be banned.  Please wear a neat, clean polo or collared short sleeved shirt (no tank tops).
  • If you use a helmet cover, it is suggested that you remove it to allow extra ventilation in your helmet
  • Bring extra water containers for horses and people, and coolers with ice.  There is the usual tub of water near the barns at HPF, but this is quite a distance and will be used by all competitors.
  • We will all be looking after one another for signs of heat illness, and we will discuss this at the briefing.
